What is CoinFello?

CoinFello is a self-custodial, always-on AI agent for DeFi. You tell it what you want in plain English, and it researches, executes, and automates the onchain action (sending, swapping, bridging, staking, or earning yield) while your private keys never leave your wallet. It’s built for people who want the speed of an AI agent without handing custody of their funds to anyone.

How it works

  • Connect your wallet at app.coinfello.com, or create a new one there. Fello reads your public portfolio data, never your private keys.
  • Ask in plain language: “swap 0.5 ETH to USDC,” “find the best staking yields on Base,” “explain my portfolio.”
  • Approve in your own wallet. Before anything executes, Fello explains what the smart contract actually does and surfaces the real risks in plain language.
  • Optionally, grant a delegation: a scoped, revocable permission (built on the open EIP-7702, ERC-7710, and ERC-7715 standards) that lets the agent act for you within spending limits, allowed tokens, and expiry dates you set.

CoinFello’s agent is registered onchain on Ethereum via the ERC-8004 agent-registry standard, and the delegation layer is built on open standards rather than a private API, so the permissions you grant are inspectable and revocable onchain.

What you can do

  • Research any asset or protocol, and get a plain-language analysis of your portfolio.
  • Send tokens, and swap with best-price routing.
  • Bridge assets across chains in one instruction.
  • Stake and discover yield opportunities, with real-time alerts on APY changes and liquidation risk.
  • Automate strategies: recurring buys (DCA) on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence. Automated rebalancing between liquidity positions is coming soon.

New to any of these terms? The Learn guides explain them without jargon.

How it keeps you in control

  • Your keys never move: CoinFello never holds or sees them.
  • The agent acts only within delegations you grant: per-token spending limits, time-bound expiry, and restricted action types.
  • You can revoke any delegation at any time; your funds stay in your wallet throughout.
  • Every transaction is explained in plain language before it executes.
  • The agent accepts prompts only from you. Outside websites and third parties can't instruct it.

The full security model is covered on the Security & self-custody page.

Who it's for

  • DeFi users who want the speed of an agent without giving up self-custody.
  • Newcomers who want step-by-step, plain-language guidance instead of juggling dapps, bridges, and explorers.
  • Builders and AI agents: CoinFello doubles as an execution layer that other agents (Claude Code, Kiro, Windsurf, OpenClaw) can delegate onchain actions to.

Frequently asked questions

What is CoinFello?

CoinFello is a self-custodial, always-on AI agent for DeFi. You tell it what you want in plain language (“swap $50 of ETH to USDC,” “bridge USDC to Base,” “earn yield on my stablecoins”) and it researches, executes, and automates the onchain action for you, while your private keys stay in your wallet.

What can CoinFello do?

CoinFello can research assets and protocols, analyze your portfolio, send and swap tokens with best-price routing, bridge across chains, stake, and discover yield. It can automate recurring buys (DCA), with automated rebalancing between liquidity positions coming soon, and it sends real-time alerts on APY changes and liquidation risk. Everything runs from a chat interface.
